The heart of the architectural expansion and renewal of the MFA, the Art of the Americas Wing reveals the museum’s great capacity to display and interpret the artistic expressions of the entire continent through a history starting 3000 years ago, with the prehistory of the native Indians and pre-Columbian collections up to works dating from the mid-20th century.
Flanked by two pavilions to the north and south, the wing includes large glazed areas rendering the museum more transparent and outward-looking, creating a dialogue with the historical architecture of the museum.
