Commissioned by the Ministry and by the Lombard Region, Goppion manufactured a complete system for the shipping and display of the panel depicting Saint Benedict by Antonello da Messina, which is normally on show at the Pinacoteca del Castello Sforzesco in Milan, for its move first to Rome for the Antonello recuperato exhibition, and then to the Museo Bagatti Valsecchi in Milan for the Tesori Salvati exhibition. The design was based on a cabinet that not only protects the work from atmospheric agents, theft and damage, but is also planned to inserted solidly into shipping units, insulated thermally and able to reduce blows and vibration.
